# OCD Maps > OCD Maps is a web app for building maps of places you care about — restaurants, shops, sights, parks — with categories, icons, colours, notes, visit status, walking routes and polygon areas. Anyone can browse the public maps below; registered users build their own, keep them private or publish them, and can use them offline as an installable app. There are currently 13 public maps with 22,919 places. A map page (`/?currentMapId=`) draws its places in the browser, so they are not in the HTML. To read them, use the MCP server described below. - [About OCD Maps](https://ocdmaps.com/about): what the app does and what registered users get - [Sitemap](https://ocdmaps.com/sitemap.xml): every public map address ## For AI agents: the MCP server - Endpoint: `https://ocdmaps.com/api/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, stateless; standard MCP `initialize` handshake) - Authentication: OAuth 2.1 authorization code with S256 PKCE and dynamic client registration. Discovery: `https://ocdmaps.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource` and `https://ocdmaps.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server`. Scopes: `ocdmaps:read`, `ocdmaps:write`. An OCD Maps account is needed to authorize. - `public_maps.search`: browse or search every public map, with the same figures as this file. - `public_places.list`: the places of a public map (name, coordinates, category, address, rating, Google Maps link, description, opening hours), with the owner's private categories withheld. - Tools for the user's own data: `maps.*`, `places.*`, `areas.*`, `routes.*`, `map_links.*`, `trips.*`, plus `categories.list` and `geonames.search`. Location history is never exposed. ## Public maps - [World Michelin Restaurants](https://ocdmaps.com/?currentMapId=3ad0b594-4aa8-4a38-8a07-54ef0a1d54ae): Map with all the Michelin Restaurants Data from ngshiheng: https://github.com/ngshiheng/michelin-my-maps — 18,374 places · 50 countries.
